Spoiled Rotten...

Twinkle got her Christmas gifts today from Leihson, a big box came in early this morning filled with a complete Mrs. Claus out fit, raw hide chew bones and alot of dog-food packs and treats, of course her puppies got theirs too. Only three puppies are left with me right now.. I gave the first one, Sophia, to Leihson's family last week, and the second one, B asti, was adopted by Fiscal Cabarriban just last Tuesday.. It felt weird at first, coming home to only 3 puppies, knowing that I probably might not s ee the two othe r pups ever...but just this afternoon , I saw Sophia again and boy did sh e grow more adorable... She was sporting a white collar on her neck and she smelled wonderful. I gave her 2 rawhide chew bones and a handful of milky bones to keep her busy. I'm really happy knowing she ended up with people who could take very good care of her.. Twinkle took a bath after wards and started fitting the dress.. It looked so cute on her... Here are some of the pics ...

Cancer's Wrath...

As I was waiting for my turn at the derma clinic this afternoon, two women carrying a child came in, asking if Dr. Hayden came to work. Dr. Hayden is my derma's husband, a cosmetic surgeon. My friend and I became curious as we observed how the child bore numerous little lumps around his neck. Deep inside, I knew it wasn't just an ordinary case of rash... To my surprise, my friend approached the mother. She too has a son who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, in layman's term ~ cancer of the lymph nodes. Lucky for her, her son was diagnosed and treated early before it reached the first stage. He is now currently under chemotherapy and is fast recuperating. She relates how hopeless she felt when her son was first diagnosed with cancer, she had some regret as well. For starters, her son's first doctor dismissed the node as just a sign of Vitamin deficiency, unaware that it was already the onset of a deadly illness. This probably pushed her to refer her son...

A Proposal...

My officemate received the de livery in my behalf as I was still having lunch at home... The flowers came in at 12:37 PM., wrapped neatly inside a big personalized box from Islandrose.net. It was a 2-dozen red and white american r oses. I couldn't remember anymore how many flowers I received from the guy who sent me this but everytime he sends me one, it would always be of different combinations.. Today, I also had someone propose to me in a not-so-usual manner... it was a text message I got from this highschool friend of mine, asking me if I would like to think about his offer of marriage once he gets home in 2008 (he is not the one who sent me the flowers , BTW) . He sounded persistent and kinda in a hurry, wanting to start a family right away... Honestly, I couldn't quite define what I felt about what he said.. if it were a joke, it would have been funny... but it wasn't... I felt so flattered and kinda overwhelmed with the attention... he has been a close friend of mine...

Bye-Bye Baby...

All day long I played with my little pups in between my googleing... It was a lazy Saturday, time for malling in fact but I chose to just stay at home and take care of my dog and her five puppies... I felt a pang of sadness as I carried one of the puppies to my bed... It'll only be a fe w weeks and three of them will be out of my care.. Despite finding it hard to care for newborn pups, I'm starting to get pretty much attached to the little ones... They seem to recognize me already... No matter ho w sleepy I feel in the morning, I get my lazy self up and whip them some breakfast, clean up their mess and dry them clean after soaking in God-knows-what...They would come and kiss my feet seemingly greet ing me a "good day".. I feel sad thinking I'd be giving them away... They are so adorable... If only it wasn't that hard, I would have kept them all for good...

A Puppy's Life...

Today, my five puppies turned officially one month old!!! Since we won't anymore be celebrating their birthdays together in the next few months ( they'd be finding their new homes by then), I decided to get them a small chocolate brownie cake with a blue bi rthday candle. Here's Zach posing before his birthday brownie, eager to taste the pastry!!! Cute ei?
